Because large companies frequently change the structure and links in their site, similar to governments constantly reorganizing to give off the illusion of change, I’m just including the URL of the companies home page.

From there you can either click on products or diseases or condition, or search for the latest information on their medication.

I’m not suggesting that if you decide to research a medication the ONLY site to check is the maker of that medication but it is one of the places you should consider checking out.

Consider downloading the free CADDRA Canadian ADHD Practice Guidelines where they have a detailed chapter on ADHD medications among other things.

If your doctor or psychiatrist claims he/she doesn’t know ADHD tell the they can learn how to diagnose and treat it for free with those guidelines.

I’m listing the major ADHD drugs. There are other drugs used to treat ADHD, especially if one has comorbid disorders, that may be used in place of these drugs or in combination with these drugs. Since people have unique biochemistries and unique symptoms it’s important to discuss your needs with your doctor, just because your friend Joe says drug x worked for him it DOES NOT mean it will necessarily work for you.

* SSNI= selective norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor. Similar to SSRI selective Seretonin reuptake inhibitors i.e., prozac but it works on the neurotransmitter norepinephrine instead of Serotonin.

There are 3 major neurotransmitters involved with ADHD

Dopamine

Norepinephrine

Serotonin

ADHD medications work by affecting the levels of these neurotransmitters.

But ADHD is NOT just a matter of some neurotransmitters.

Below I have some, not all, excerpts from my page Does ADHD Really Exist? It has many examples of clinical evidence of ADHD as a real condition with links to the research and ways of explaining ADHD to non ADDers.

Share that page with the ADHD truthers, the ADHD doesn’t exist, I know this because I got my medical degree out of a box of cracker jacks people, and the ADHD minimizers and ADHD stigmatizers.
